Defiant

Grevillea standing tall while all else around it turns brown with the frost. An argument for growing natives or celebrating colour in this frosted winter world?
This is so bright on this overcast and cold winters morning

Great shot sand agree with your sentiments. We grow all sorts of grevilleas to provide food for the native nectar seeking birds.

@ethelperry We do too (grow grevillea for the birds). At the moment my grevillea seem to be the only flowers around for them and I notice they start hunting insects in the absence of nectar.

Lovely unusually capture. Brave flower to put up with the cold.

That's really unusual (for us) - must have a niche environment. I didn't realise you got frost even in winter!

We also get frost here, and it's so sad to see the plants get burnt. Super image.
