Old Timers by ubobohobo

Old Timers

A clump of Xanthorrhoea or grass trees that I adore. Every time we travel this road I am in awe of these amazing trees, the black trunks with bushy tops forming a band around the hill. I cannot believe I'm looking at something that is at least 300 years old. How I wish they could talk and tell me all they have experienced during the passing years. We passed them aglow in the setting sun just after rain. I don't think I've ever seen them looking so spectacular before.
oh, I thought this was a travelling band of musicians! Singing the songs of the land! No? I'm learning about trees and another land!

@maggiemae Love your prospective. I'll forever see them as a band of wondering musicians.

I'm with Jane. "Those trees--oh, those trees--those truffula trees!" I love them.
