The cheeping and pipping has stopped but could this be comfortable, perched on a narrow bar 3m above the ground, wings spread wide to blanket six babies? The second mother gets it easy. She's still preening herself to the side before she settles down for the night. Oct15words - stop
@cejaanderson it is an old metal pergola. I had to put a ladder beside it to help the chicks up. The peeping would have driven me mad otherwise. Two could fly up unaided but the other four had no hope. It's took three nights to get all six up with the mothers. Must be a training thing so I'm not sure I should have intervened but for sanity sake I did.
