This is an installation showing pennants from different areas of the Curonian Lagoon. The pennant served as a registration mark to show which village the boat belonged to. In the central part, each village was assigned a separate combination of black-and-white or red-and-white geometric figures. Over time, fishermen began to decorate the pennants with wood carvings, thus creating a unique tradition of fishing boats in the Curonian Lagoon.
