がんばれ(gambare)

This week's get pushed challenge was black and white, which I proclaimed I'd do one of each day this week - so I'm adding some selective color to my "or this one" album, because I'm going through color withdrawal. Today I pushed back a layer of oak leaves to discover what I hoped was true - the crocuses poking through the frozen earth. The title of my capture is the Japanese term used to push someone on through a trial of some sort. I'll never understand how plant matter from a tiny corm can push through ice. It just doesn't make sense. But it's that "slow and steady" nature of pure perseverance that I admire and feel inspired by when I witness it. P.S. I think this is best view large.
Love the black and white with the touch of green! This did look splendid when enlarged =)

@lsquared32 thanks Lisa, and thanks for viewing it large. Sometimes it really doesn't matter, but for some reason, this one needs it.

Oh -- the promise of spring is pictured so well here. I think the selective color is very effective.
