Forcing myself to see objects in my house as potential fodder for b&w each day this week led me to our paper lamp. After our bedroom bookcase rethink earlier in the week, I "freed" this tall paper lamp from its confined quarters in an ignored spot to its new location next to the newly moved piano in our living room. Lit up, I smiled at the return of an old friend. The warmth and ambiance of the lamp, now captured in black and white definitely makes for a more stark image than its normal sepia glow. But I thought the contrast of the winkles in the paper and the dof would make for an appealing b&w. What so you think?
