Frozen! by vickisfotos

Frozen!

This is the lower part of the falls I posted a while ago. I just love the color of that water. It is so cold here. The news has been showing all the ice up at the falls, so my husband decided we needed to take a look today. We hardly were there for any time at all, but it took the 20 minutes drive home to thaw my fingers!
Fabulous capture Vicki.

Lovely capture and colours. I too had the finger freeze yesterday. Are there tight warm gloves suited to photography?

Heard there was snow in Portland--- all the way to the coast! My favorite!
This water fall is simply gorgeous! I looks so cold... but it also looks quite peaceful!
Be safe out there!

Beautiful waterfall.

Incredible shot. The falls actually FREEZE, so there is no flow? For a southern Californian who isn't freezing-savvy, WOW!

Amazing! We had a beautiful sunny day today, though the wind was a bit chilly.

@aglennc it is not completely frozen...still some water coming over it. I don't think this falls freezes complexly.

Every time I see one of your multnoma falls shots, I remember how much I want to go there and shoot it

@jgpittenger we WILL! some other Portland area 365ers want to meet up...I will make sure you are on the list! But not until it warms up and I feel more confident about hitting the trail again. At the moment, I KNOW my husband would refuse to let me go...especially without him.

@kathiecb I have a new pair of leather ones that fit tight and are pretty warm for most conditions...but that cold gorge wind went right thru them

Wonderful image and colour. We once walked into a glacier (they had cut a passage into the ice) in Switzerland that greeny-turquoise colour!

Wow! Great shot of this.

This is such a wonderful shot and shows just how cold it was/is there. Love that you can see all the frozen areas of this Fall. I love shooting water falls and we were so dry this year that there was not much to be seen at all. I follow a guy that shoots waterfalls and he headed to Oregon to take photos for his website. FAV
