My grand-daughter, Emily ran with the Varisty team today at their district meet. She is a sophomore, but she came in second place for her team! To top it off, she ran most of the race with only one shoe!!! It was so rainy and muddy that it had gotten stuck in the mud and she just kept on running. Here is a photo of her after the race when she had been handed her shoe by her Dad who had gone to fetch it for her. Can you believe how muddy they got?
