Have you seen the movie version of Mamma Mia? Here are the stairs that you have to climb up to get to the chapel. Not quite the view you see in the movie. There is one place at the beginning of the stairs that might have been where they shot the scene..but pretty doubtful it was on this main part of the climb. I am afraid of heights...you gotta know that I REALLY WANTED to see the chapel to have climbed up here. That is my husband in the shot. For a view of the chapel, here is the shot I posted the day we climbed up there in September. http://365project.org/vickisfotos/365/2014-09-19
Wow. That is some staircase! I saw some of that movie, but not sure I saw this part. I love the color of the clear water on the rocks down at the bottom! So gorgeous! Why do people always live in these GORGEOUS locales in the movies?!
Good shot! I'm not crazy about heights either although climbing stairs isn't so bad- it's the pathways without railings that get me queasy! But like you, I will swallow my fear and give it a go. First of all- how often to you get a chance to see something like this? And secondly, you don't want to regret that you didn't go for it.
Bet you were out of breath when you arrived there. That is a steep climb, indeed. I wouldn't have hesitated for a moment and would have taken it as well. Beautiful shot and pov.
