@lleo Thanks Gwenllian - with an exposure of 1.6 sec, you bet I used a tripod! The main problem is that the lighting is a mixture of daylight, tungsten and mercury vapour, which makes it rather difficult to achieve a satisfactory colour balance. The theme for this year's exhibition is "The great days of Paimpont Abbey": my photos will be used in a number of exhibition panels telling the story of the Abbey and also in the explanatory leaflets: there are also two concerts each week during the 12 week exhibition season.
Yes, I don't suppose you could be still for that long! The white balance seems fine. What amazing acoustics it must have. Good luck with the exhibition panels. I just looked up the Abbey on the web. Looks great. Enjoy the concerts.
Looks like an amazing place - absolutely love the details and ceiling. Always jealous of all these vintage structures over in Europe - hard to find that over here in Toronto! ;)
