This is for the first B&W Fortnight challenge - B&W Gardens. It's also to fulfill the promise that you would see more of our new puppy Mitzi who was 12 weeks old yesterday.
Looks quite idyllic - wonderful clouds - they have an infrared look. So nice to see Mitzi - I'm hoping to photograph Betty's paws for tomorrow's se7en photo. Gosh - I miss Lotto soooo much.
@jocasta I know, I know Joy - if you see the leftmost bush in the front rockery, it's beneath there that our beloved Princesse is taking the 'sleep of ages'... since we did 'the kind' but oh so hard thing 31 October last year. As you see - Mitzi likes it there...
@joansmor ...and we built the summer house there because it's the last place in the garden to receive the rays of the setting sun... it's the Golden Hour place!
Liking the picture too, have had an issue myself with gardens in black and white, as the photos seem to loose a lot of the lovely colours.
Somehow you have kept the brightness of your garden incredibly well.
I have checked the route and could be there in 9hrs 45 mins if I go Plymouth to Roscoff! Make that 10hrs and 45 mins if I stop off at the hypermarche for a couple of bottles :)
This is great in BW. The structure leads you in and up to LePetit Trianon for your glass of the local wine, and a BBQ too! I think you might be having a party of 365ers soon!
OK. So now I have house, garden AND puppy envy.... will it never end?? My old boxer went last September. Cannot believe how traumatic it was/is. Desperate for a puppy but it's just not the right time for us just now. Will need to check out the b&w fortnight thing... sounds like my kind of theme!
I have a dream to have a place in France someday, personally it's more of a pipe dream than anything that will actually happen unless I win the Lotto! Beautiful garden and looks good in b&w - Mitzi is a lucky puppy to have so much space.
I want to sit at those chairs and just have a little vino.
