My Get Pushed partner for this week, Trisha @trishaclancy , said - "I would like you to focus on food photography. I miss everything about food in France ....from selecting the produce at the markets/boucherie/boulangerie, to the careful preparation, to the meal itself. I wonder if you can capture this for me. Hope this works!"
From her last comment it's obvious that Trisha is physchic because she choose a week when Mrs S is away; the butchers and the bakers are closed for much needed end of season holidays; I will be unable to get to the Sunday morning market because of a prior commitment... and the local supermarket doesn't allow photography!
What I'm going to offer Trisha as my response to her challenge is 'Food at Vignouse'!
On the corner of the kitchen bar counter is a set of old scales used to store fresh ingredients needed in the kitchen, but it often gets taken over by'stuff'. Here are two lemons (one rather tired), an acrobat clown, a toy dog incubating a piece of fresh(ish) ginger, and a small clock that hasn't worked in years... go figure. (There's also an out of focus life-size model lobster sitting on the radiator in the background!)
This was taken hand-held at 1/13 sec and ISO3200 using my Nex 6 and the Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 lens that arrived from Hong Kong early this afternoon.
@trishaclancy Hi Trisha - here's a first offering for the challenge you set me: it won't be quite what you were expecting... for the reasons/excuses, see my introduction above. Now what am I going to offer you tomorrow? Hmmm...
Tricia I don't know what he's planning to offer you tomorrow but I would be afraid I would be very afraid. Dinner with a sense of humor. Make mine very well done please.
Brought a big smile to my face Richard. Thank you. I'm struggling a bit to get a shot with all the running around and unpacking but will do a collage on Saturday for you
I just had to find the other clown -- I love the way he's hanging there. It's odd the way things accumulate in strange places. Maybe tomorrow I'll take a picture of the contents of one of my many junk drawers.
