Well I've had a hectic week so I only got round to the challenge today and as 'my lovely assistant', Mrs S, is away, I was going to have to engineer this on my own. To cap it all, it has seriously rained all day, so this shot was taken standing inside the French windows looking out onto the pergola and the side garden. My first try at a forced perspective image - it worked better in colour than B&W.
@luvmynynix Hi Laurie - well I managed to get round to your challenge today and I hope this meets with your approval. I did try this in B&W but the colour version was better to my eyes, so that's the one I have posted. It's not easy to do this on your own!
@maggiemae Thanks Maggimae - I was holding the camera in my right hand and squinting through the viewfinder as I attempted to get my fingers in the right position. I should have put the camera on a tripod and composed using LiveView... it would have been quicker in the long run!
Nicely done - I'm impressed at the sharpness and clarity... The few I've tried have not been successful from a doc point of view... Even with using f/22...
@northy Thanks for your comment Northy - I used a focal length of 11mm (16mm equivalent) at f/11 and focussed manually on the hyper-focal distance between the camera and the light... I let the background look after itself.
