Neighbourhood Watch! by vignouse

Neighbourhood Watch!

This starling was one of 50 or so in my brother's garden this morning. They were all busy emptying the newly filled feeders except for this one who stayed apart on full alert and appeared to be on-guard in case of predators... the various neigbourhood cats in this case.
Great shot, fantastic clarity and focus.

Starlings are a bit of a pest here, but they have such lovely markings and I love how they flock. Their guard is quite handsome.

Perfect title and a great shot of this bird against a perfect background. I am having terrible trouble with starlings, they appear to send a scout and when they find rich pickings they signal to all their mates that a good supply has been found and clean me out of bird food.....so annoying!!

Yes, they are hooley birds, committing daylight robbery of bird food. I have a sneaky respect for their yob attitude. Methinks..svelte, sexy and full on with superiority. And how they fly!
BTW, star(t)ling clarity, I can count the feathers. Sadly can only Fav once.

I found a pair in the fireplace a couple of days ago, flapping against the glass door

@joansmor you don't want them at your feeders. They are little piggies.

They can be such nice looking birds but are such pests at the bird feeders. You captured this one wonderfully Richard gorgeous detail.
