Stunning, fav! I thought, stunning job, then read title and now feel a rush of sadness for this person who now has only herself/himself to have dinner with

there are few types of photos I like more than hands at work, especially practiced hands. Come to think of it, I like watching them in real life also.

The hands, the knife, the cutting, the crop, the lighting, the perfect b & w tones, all combine this Richard into one simple, remarkable work
of fine art A big big fav Richard

beautifully done
is that a puzzle ring?
November 10th, 2014
beautiful detail and emotion in those hands - dinner for one is never easy
November 10th, 2014
@aponi It's a Russian wedding ring in white, red and normal gold and it stands for the Holy Trinity but also for the family trinity of mother, father and child.

An amazing image with an emotive story. For me when viewing, the seasoned hands represent the experience, the triquetra-style ring the love. I have a triquetra tattoo so it obviously carries a very significant meaning for me. Wonderful image!

I saw this yesterday! I didn't look to see whose it was, but of course, it's yours! This is a wonderful shot, so crisp in the detail, and a fabulous composition for the action. I partial to the cut marks from meals past! Save a seat for me--make it dinner for two! :)

Fantastic capture- the hands tell the whole story even without the title. It grabs at first sight. fav
November 12th, 2014
This is a lovely shot, so textured and (to me) poignant. Excellent composition, but better because it suggests many stories (up to the viewer) in a very elegant way. Fav.
