French Riviera? by vignouse

French Riviera?

You might think so from looking at this, but in fact it's the Hôtel de Ville - Town Hall - of the Breton town of St. Méen pictured this afternoon during a welcome break in the rainy weather we've been having lately. It was constructed in 1933 and renovated in 1992. The astonishing bell tower was modelled after those of the Town Halls of Gouda in Holland and Vichy in France.
What an extraordinary setting. The light and the colors are beautiful. I like the framing you did with the palm trees.

The lighting is great -- and the Hôtel de Ville is a great specimen -- I like that little turret.

Oooh I do like those little towers are the top nicely framed by the trees.

It seems so incongruous compared to the rest of the town, yet raises it to another dimension...and why not? The palms look good for February!

It looks like the South Carolina coast. Palms trees, but yet not quite tropical.
