Gorse... or perhaps GORSE!
It's a weed but all the field borders and hedgerows locally are currently a blaze of yellow thanks to the gorse bushes which are almost the first to come into bloom in Spring.

Now it's interesting you should say that, I often find that my close-up pictures of Gorse are out-of-focus without knowing why!

Isn't spring out of focus to begin with? I do like the bright contrasted against the subdued blur or bokeh.
