Yesterday was Mothers' Day in France and every lady customer at our local watering hole was presented with a red rose... this is the one Mrs S received pictured tonight on our kitchen counter.

Indeed it is...especially as I'm not a mother...and nor is Gilberte who was with us and she received one too, as do all the ladies. A most considerate custom and gesture, at least in our neck of the woods.
