That's a tortoise not a stain so mind where you tread! Is that staircase 1, 2, 3 or 4? The light on those verticals - what are they called? - makes the shot for me... it serves to pull me in and want to venture up the stairs.

@yrhenwr It's no. 4... in order of construction. The left-hand vertical is the newel-post, the others are the banisters. I've forgotten what the stain is - oil probably as this is the garage.
