Soprano

The cultural season at Paimpont Abbey has begun and this afternoon's concert was by the Jean-Marie Lorand chorale... this young lady was the youngest member of the choir.

View on black? You betcha!
She's doing what many of us forget to do - watch the director.

A touch of class, Richard.. perfectly composed, exposed and timed.Fav. You don't show too many shots taken with the D610... don't you like it?

@yrhenwr Thanks David. I like the D610 just fine but as it has the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 permanently attached, it's not a camera I use every day... especially as it weighs 2.5 kg!

Love this portrait. Action in stillness... With the D610 I would dare a more wild crop on this pretty young lady!

@domenicododaro I did try a tighter crop but in the end I liked her best framed by the red music folders of her fellow choristers.

Great portrait. Nice composition.

Beautiful capture! Interesting idea from Domenico, but I can see why you went with the crop you did to give her framing!

@ukandie1 Thanks Andie: yes, she's framed on three sides but the direction she's looking is open... this is pretty much how it came out of the camera.

@vignouse hats off to you for composing well in camera, something I struggle with, but am working at :)
