Unexpected View!

Today we were due to fly from Belfast NI to Manchester and then on to the Isle of Man... unfortunately Dame Fortune had other ideas! Nearly all flights in and out of Manchester were delayed for up to 90 minutes including our flight from Belfast; virtually the only flight which was on time was- you guessed it - our connecting flight to the IOM, so we missed it!

I have to commend the airline for their service though as when we went to the enquiries desk, we had already been booked into one of the airport hotels with dinner and breakfast paid for and transport provided plus a reservation on the first flight out in the morning. The airline was Fly Be - often derided as Fly Maybe... but they came good this time!

This is the view from our 7th floor hotel room looking back to the airport - the blue line is the elevated walkway which connects the airport with the train station at the right of the image.

It's BoB... of course.

So we all have to thank the delay for this picture Richard? :) Hope it didnt spoil the trip to much... and the picture is great as usual.

I am glad you were well taken care of in Manchester. But I guess you were delayed in depositing all your millions on the Isle of Man. (That is about all I have heard about the Isle of Man, that it is a place for people to put their money for protection from taxes.) Smile.
