Your woodland shots are such a treat, Richard... but paths near you that you haven't walked before? Hard to believe! I like the low POV here and I can almost feel the pain of that straggler! I find this BoB thing interesting. In this case even I can see that it really is so.. the sense of depth is enhanced. No idea why! Fav BoB or not!
@yrhenwr Thank you! I think I've explained the BoB thing before. If you're viewing on a white background, you're spreading the dynamic range of your eye over the whole gamut from pure white to deep black whereas on a black ground your eye has to distinguish a more limited gamut so the tones are more easily separated... QED!
I now post also on Flickr where photos are routinely displayed on black and I just feel this displays them better.
