Intruder by vignouse

Intruder

This is something of an experiment: by deliberately placing the wind-turbine on a point of confusion, I was aiming to create a sense of visual unease thus reinforcing the feeling of intrusion... BoB!
beautiful. just one of the trees. definitely bob.

Beautiful line of trees and definitely BOB

Definitely BoB, loving that heavy sky

another beautiful image...

Most effective. My eye did 'jump' to the turbine. I like how you've placed it on the line of trees as well -- and well titled.

Yes, it did create a feeling of unease from the position. Interesting how we like our images harmoniously placed. It's helped by those ominous looking clouds

Or like the conductor and an orchestra. You should peak at the frozen spinning ice disc I posted today. Not a fabulous photo but an interesting subject as it was formed naturally

You have succeeded!

Good thinking and great image.

Outstanding capture...You achieved your goal of creating a sense of "intrusion."

The turbine almost looks like a monument amidst the trees and field.
January 18th, 2019
it almost looks a little other-worldly and my instant thought/feeling was the sound of invaders on my album of war of the worlds :)

VML the transverse parallels, their uniformity change the dynamic, morphing the trees into acolytes of the turbine ;-) More water required?!

...and the sky is Something Else.

I like its lonely prescence..

Fav.

The turbine is definitely intrusive.
January 18th, 2019
It makes one feel very uneasy. It's a brilliant image!

It's just one intruder! With the current littering of the landscape only after reading the text of the turbine it began to disturb me. Was there no advertising in the area?
January 18th, 2019
@haskar Thanks for commenting but I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here about advertising?
January 18th, 2019
Love the contrasts and lines. It's beautiful, but discordant.
January 18th, 2019
Well thought out and great photo. It is the first thing my eye went too.
January 18th, 2019
@jamibann @aecasey Thank you both - it seems I achieved what I was aiming for.

The position you put the turbine in immediately attracts the eye and the clouds seem to going right to the turbine. Great capture.

I think wind turbines are interesting, this solitary one does look odd in the middle of the line of trees. I like how the blades are pointing upwards towards the corners, along the lines in the clouds.

very effective
January 18th, 2019
Lol! Great title and I like the odd one out in the midst of repeating shapes
January 19th, 2019
I've never heard the term 'visual unease' but it describes perfectly the effect both your turbine photos have on me. I hasten to add I like the effect - and the photos, both.
January 19th, 2019
@vignouse I am impressed that you managed to catch such a large landscape without advertising!
January 19th, 2019
This concept does indeed go to my irritation sector. I am also intrigued on how it (the turbine) creates a strong visual bridge and then I am 'taken' off in other directions by the blades.
