This is something of an experiment: by deliberately placing the wind-turbine on a point of confusion, I was aiming to create a sense of visual unease thus reinforcing the feeling of intrusion... BoB!
Yes, it did create a feeling of unease from the position. Interesting how we like our images harmoniously placed. It's helped by those ominous looking clouds
Or like the conductor and an orchestra. You should peak at the frozen spinning ice disc I posted today. Not a fabulous photo but an interesting subject as it was formed naturally
It's just one intruder! With the current littering of the landscape only after reading the text of the turbine it began to disturb me. Was there no advertising in the area?
I think wind turbines are interesting, this solitary one does look odd in the middle of the line of trees. I like how the blades are pointing upwards towards the corners, along the lines in the clouds.
I've never heard the term 'visual unease' but it describes perfectly the effect both your turbine photos have on me. I hasten to add I like the effect - and the photos, both.
This concept does indeed go to my irritation sector. I am also intrigued on how it (the turbine) creates a strong visual bridge and then I am 'taken' off in other directions by the blades.
