Spotlit Cherubim... by vignouse

Spotlit Cherubim...

When I went to close the abbey, the low sun shining through the west window of the north transept (still with me?) had spotlit part of the altar of St John the Baptist highlighting this cherubim. Actually, for the purists among you, it's in fact a puttee which are gender neutral and can therefore be-sport themselves half-naked in church art!

BoB--- natch!
really cool light here - very effective on black

awesome lighting and I never knew about the gender neutrals being allow to be near naked in a church - does that also apply to those who come in the flesh?

the dappled lighting and the darkness around it work so well, as you obviously noticed...and thanks for that other info.
