When I went to close the abbey, the low sun shining through the west window of the north transept (still with me?) had spotlit part of the altar of St John the Baptist highlighting this cherubim. Actually, for the purists among you, it's in fact a puttee which are gender neutral and can therefore be-sport themselves half-naked in church art!
awesome lighting and I never knew about the gender neutrals being allow to be near naked in a church - does that also apply to those who come in the flesh?
