At first look look I thought you had given up wine for water but were trying to fool yourself by using the same glass! Then I wondered what unhelpful health advice you had received, Glad the situation is normal! Personally, I prefer a good flinty French Sauvignon as an aperitif!
I fell in love with French Chardonnay in the early 90’s when living in London.
Switched to NZ Sauvignon when it was hard to get a decent chardonnay on return home.
Fast forward now we have fabulous NZ Chardonnay

@brigette The French think the only wine worth drinking is French wine so it's difficult to find anything else. Thank goodness for Lidl who often have 'bin ends' from all over at rock bottom prices 😃
