Seen Better Days...

I've featured this ruined cottage several times: I pass infrequently but each time I do there has been an intriguing change. Today I noticed that someone has left a ruined bicycle with no front wheel by the front door, thus adding greatly to the overall air of pathos.

It's a view on black image!
Nicely processed as usual, great detail n the blockwork....I wonder why they still needed the front wheel? Perhaps they took up the fine art of unicycling...

So from what I've understood of your narrative, Richard, you are recycling this image ?
Well, very nicely done.

@markp Thanks - as always - for your comments Mark; this image was taken today during my afternoon walk.

The stone stands strong while the timber gradually falls apart!

Even in significant decline, this cottage has an evolving personality.

Maybe they're a photographer too and left the bike for the purpose of changing up the scene a little.

I've got a bicycle like that... i've had it since I ran over the front wheel last summer and can't decide whether i'm worth a minimum of £300 expenditure! It was a top of the range wheel for my carbon fibre racing frame. Anyway it's a wonderful pic, so full of interest. Fav
