Powerline Joggers... by vignouse

Powerline Joggers...

...I guess that sums it up! And yes, like yesterday's post, this is another unpromising scene that I wanted to try and make something of - you decide!

Even more powerful viewed on black!
Nice detailed capture but I have to ask how many would notice the jogger if it weren't for you title. I know that because of the title the first thing I looked for was the jogger. But the Powerline Pole is what I think you see first your eyes for the powerlines. I am lookin at it the way I have learned the eye works in my scrapbooking and think the eye rest the tower. You will probably tell me why I am wrong.

A five-star composition in my opinion.

@joansmor I can't say you're wrong Joan (Heaven Forfend!) - but my gaze starts on the pylon, descends and follows the line of posts leading directly to the female jogger - the male jogger behind her is running away from the camera! It will be interesting to see what others think...

I follow the pylon down to the roof across to the right side then around. I didn't see the jogger until I read the title either.

hmmm... this is a tricky one. now i know that there is a jogger. but the jogger is quite discrete. the pole and the trees, and the contrast between them are the main subject in the image, and the jogger is somewhat like an easter-egg in this composition.

You always succeed. And yes, the jogger was a bonus!

Jogger makes it

@thistle01 Thanks Joyce - it was always about the jogger; I watched her approach and waited for her to get to the right place before I took the shot. And there are two joggers - there's a male jogger behind her running away from the camera!

Without the jogger it would be a rather boring scene.
