A Year of Days: Day 9 - Kudos to photography magazine photographers!
For my 'A Year of Days' diary shot today, I wanted an image of the little Sony RX100iii large sensor compact camera that Mrs S generously bought me for Christmas to use for the diary project.
Damn but it's hard to get a good photograph of a black camera! The hardest thing was getting rid of the dust that shows up all too clearly in the photograph, despite cleaning the camera thoroughly several times with an antistatic cloth. With the aid of the cloth and Photshop this is the best I could manage.
It doesn't do full justice to this excellent little camera... but it has given me a whole new level of respect for 'pack-shot' photographers!
you have captured it really well Richard - and even through my magnifying glass ( ha ha just kidding ) I could see no dust - oh darn wasn't wearing my glasses
It's a cool camera. A friend of mine has one and shoots with it all the time. The popup EVF is unique I think, and the lens is much improved, sharper, faster, over earlier models. Have a great time with it. That was very generous of Mrs. S. :)
@frankhymus I'm very impressed with it and it handles high ISOs impressively well - I am very happy to shoot at 1600 as standard in this winter weather. The little EVF is excellent. Mrs S is an exceptional lady in every respect ;-)
WoW , this is cool. Beats the heck out of my PS. Mrs. S is a saint. My husband could never pick out a gift for me. I made lists and then he brought everything on the list. Had to love him.
