One of the 'joys' of owning a dog, especially one that is still a puppy, is the need to take them out at regular intervals in order to avoid 'little accidents' in the house... and this must be done whatever the weather. I'm lucky and very grateful that Mrs S does the lion's share of this chore - here she is tonight having just scooped Mitzi up from where she was cuddling up in front of the woodburning stove, in order to take her out for her last walk before bed-time.
And to avoid that joy is why I have a cat (they go in boxes). Getting home at 7 pm I have no desire to rush out into freezing weather to "walk the dog." So Mitzi is lucky she has you two.
