One of the things that brings us joy in the dark, dull days of Winter is that our garden becomes 'Bird Central'. Mrs S completely spoils them and news of a good eating place spreads as fast among the bird population as it does the human one. Here the bluetit has a choice of peanuts, cheese or apple, but a quick wing flutter away he could also feast on fat and mixed seeds... and this is repeated at various points around the garden. The feeding stations attract a fair number of species and there seems to be some sort of unwritten 'Gentleman's Agreement' by which they all feed together peaceably. This feeding station and two others are just feet away from our kitchen table so we have a bird cabaret to entertain us at mealtimes... at least during the daytime.
Couldn't do this here as it would invite too many critters. Plus not sure if frozen apples would be appealing. Our birds are not so cultured and fight over the food. Now that the ground is covered they are coming more to the feeders.
So much happening here and it works wonderfully together. Love the colours, criss cross pattern of the trellis and wonderful twining of the honeysuckle.
@kt8ird Thank you kind lady! My posts to this album are initially restricted to Margaret and my son and daughter + you and Joan and then a week or two later I change the access to public. That way I'm not in competition with myself for comments and Favs but my diary does eventually become public. Why am I telling you this? Because when you unfollow and then refollow I have to reset your access and I forgot to do it the last time - you now have full access to this album again... but I'm not expecting you to look at every picture ;-)
