This is Gaëtan who arrived as planned this morning at 8.30am to sweep one of our two chimneys. Unlike what I was used to when growing up in England, the chimney sweep doesn't put his brush up the chimney, he goes up on the roof as you see here, and puts his brush down the chimney. At least that's what happens when you have a wood burning stove with a conduit chimney, rather than an open fireplace which is swept in the conventional way.
