So after spending all afternoon with Max - see my main 365 entry for today - I was happy to come home and sit on the summer house terrace with Mrs S and sip a glass of chilled Chardonnay. The oak tree just in front of the summer house is so loaded with acorns this year (sign of a hard winter to come, they say) that all the branches are hanging low. This branch, with its duo of acorns at the tip, was right in my line of sight and the more I sipped my Chardonnay, the more it seemed fit and proper that it should star as my diary entry for today... in glorious monochrome of course!
It is a shame that others don't spot this. For us it is the apple trees that are hanging low, I assume it is because of the hard winter passed. But really don't stand under a tree right now.
