Hellebore at home

Whilst I much prefer to photograph flowers in their natural environment, the rain and wind today made this a difficult task - not helped by the fact that all the open blooms were drooping their heads because of the conditions. I was amazed that I was able to get some reasonably sharp shots at just 1/10th of a second, hut a close-up was out of the question. This shot shows blooms in various stages of development - see my main 365 album for 26 January for a clearer view of this lovely delicate flower.

Nice but I really like the inside one even better. You are lucky to still have any flowers this time of year.

Just to have flowers in January would be pure joy. Eating the curried pumpkin and bean soup I made to warm myself tonight. So your flowers will warm my mind.
