High-Key - Take 3: Colour Version

The B&W original in my main 365 album has provoked much interesting comment and discussion, so here is the colour version for comparison.
Now this is lovely I will have to see the bw version. I am running late as I needed to finish some tax work for friends. I love that vase.

I really liked the b/w version, but the colors are so delicate and beautiful I'd have to say this is my favorite.

Lovely! And lit with a master's hand! Oddly for me, I like them both. I didn't even realize the B&W was statice! I would have prefered a clear vase and accepted a mauve or even purple vase, but I don't like the turquoise with the pink. There's just no pleasing some people!

Beautiful shot. I love the soft lavender colour. Perfect high key.

I really like the color version also.

This is proof that pale colours don't always need a high-contrast background. This picture makes me feel very calm! - Lucy

@therubysusan This is, in fact, a clear vase; it's made of flat pieces of glass glued together. The greeny-blue colour you are seeing is the internal refraction of the light along the cut edges of the glass... you don't see this colouration with the naked eye.
