This is the tulip that I featured in my 365 Album 28 February, now hanging its head, losing its petals and fading fast... and I think it looks even more beautiful than ever!
This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for March it's the Fujinon 60mm f/2.4 Macro on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Fuji XT2) - the equivalent of a 90mm lens on a full-frame camera.
This works really well -- the lost petal provides a window into the soul of the flower and the entire wilting focal image looks great against the black.
You know, I've never understood the quest for eternal youth. Some of the most beautiful people I know are aged - why should it be different for the rest of natures creations!
Judging from the way my looks have developped since I was 18 until present age (almost 49), I will be a genuine Cary Grant when I reach your age ... I've also noticed that Mrs S don't seem to mind you appearing on some of her shots so I guess you're home safe already :-)
