PLAY March - Fuji 60mm f/2.4: Dandelion by vignouse

PLAY March - Fuji 60mm f/2.4: Dandelion

Everywhere you look around us at the moment there are bright yellow dandelion flower heads - a sure sign that Spring has arrived. And one thing is certain, it won't be long before they're popping up all over 365 as well so I thought I'd get mine in early! The flower heads are actually rather intricate but the details tend to be masked by that vivid burst of colour so I'm cutting out the distraction and picturing this in B&W.

This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for March it's the Fujinon 60mm f/2.4 Macro on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Fuji XT2) - the equivalent of a 90mm lens on a full-frame camera.

Pops nicely on black...
No dandelions here yet, but waiting for spring to win the battle with winter.
Of course it is a little early!

This is nice in B&W. Shows off the pretty petals of this weed or wildflower, whichever you chose to call it.

Am rather fond of dandelions and enjoy their clarion cry of YELLOW, This mono shot lefts them into a sphere of grace, beauty and gentleness. Well played!

I think monotone makes the details stand out better - very nice.
