PLAY May - Sony 16mm f/2.8: Pines by vignouse

PLAY May - Sony 16mm f/2.8: Pines

I take a lot of pictures of trees during my frequent walks in Paimpont Forest but few make it to here because the resulting image fails to convey what I saw and felt at the time... this one does.

This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for May it's the Sony 16mm f/2.8 on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Sony Nex-7) - the equivalent of a 24mm lens on a full-frame camera.

Subtly different when viewed on black...
Très jolie tonalité de gris!

It's odd really...I'd never expected to become a devotee of such trees! They do have a certain presence.

Did you photograph it so you have this muted color look or is it processing. Because I love it.

@joansmor I underexposed a little in camera, the rest was done in processing although I knew exactly what I was going to do when I pressed the shutter button.

Lovely... conveying 'what we saw and felt at t he time'. Yes, that's what it's all about. You are feeling much better now?
