It's been another of those days that found me prowling in the lane in the twilight looking for a shot for today... this was the best it got ;-((
This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for May it's the Sony 16mm f/2.8 on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Sony Nex-7) - the equivalent of a 24mm lens on a full-frame camera.
@joansmor There's a little problem with that strategy... I don't have any pictures from other days... by and large, what doesn't get posted gets deleted!
@vignouse OH MY! I guess I approach it differently. I go out on an photo ride and snap everything that catches my delight that day. Come home delete the really bad shots (always several) Find the one or two I want to post that day. Then the others sit in my catalog. Many will eventually be deleted but many also make the postings. Then there is all I need for my scrapping. I probably waste too much time on them. But nice to have my treasure chest to save my lazy self on rainy days or sick days. You have the very frugal approach of taking a shot as needed. Each way has there pluses and minuses. You won't be spending hours like I will going over yesterdays family outing pictures trying to decide which to keep and which to delete. Maybe if I did it your way the house work wouldn't get behind. LOL
I'm afraid I'm like both you and Joan ( @joansmor). I try to take something everyday. I do have quite a treasure of photos, but try not to go back too much. Hence the blank days on my calendar
@randystreat Isn't that the great thing about 365 you can do your own thing. No posting police. I just love to give Richard a hard time as he is my mentor and so I try to teach him something - like having a treasury chest.
@s4sayer I tried for a while to make every picture pp worthy it never worked and then I decided the only one I need to please was me because my name is on the project. Now when I get a great shot it is my happiness in the shot that counts. Richard sort of made that point to me a few times. He also tries to tell me to take it easy. Not good at listening to his own advice is he. LOL Love you both.
It's lovely in it's simplicity. I really have fond memories of the late night photos...making me stop and look at what was ordinary and often not noticed.
