It is, of course, my new gadget that I keep talking (ergo boring people) about, my Nexus 10! Also today my Nexus 7 sold on eBay for almost as much as what I paid for it, and more actually than the retail price. It’s sold out at the moment and very much in demand.
In other news, Jessops, a renowned British camera retailer, is going into administration. My last major purchase from there was my Fuji X100, and I often browse inside before balking at the cost of items as I know how much I can get them for online and/or imported. It’s no wonder they have gone bankrupt; together with the changing landscape of photography equipment in the digital and smartphone age, there was an air of inevitability of its demise. It happened to Jacobs, another major camera retailer, last year.
Despite all this - and although I’m never happy to see people lose their jobs - I am wondering what bargains I can get when it closes down…
