I've wanted to do a shoot with my sparring gloves for a while. I got them out of my garage with the intention of using them on my hands with me as the subject matter. After a couple of attempts, Suman said "do you want me to put them on?" and I thought "why not, this could be interesting". I took numerous shots in a few poses, and chose this image.
I'm often on the receiving end of this from her - can't you tell by how worn they are? I jest, of course! I liked the different poses we shot, but after post-processing I settled on this photo because I like stark images such as this.
I might do a few more shots with the gloves. I have a few ideas for different pictures, and I'd like to retry some of the poses I did today. There's something about the strong red of boxing gloves that makes for an interesting image, in my opinion.

Nice shot! And she knows how to clench her fist.. wow! Personally I think red items of any kind on a girl is fantastic! If you're playing around with ideas with her, I've got a fun one.. why not a "during workout" shot. similar B&W to this, but her 45 degrees to the camera (almost side on / profile shot?) head bent over slightly as if she's been training, wet hair with her hands in her hair. You can even go and get the spray bottle and try to mimic perspiration?
