I had a drive to Birmingham airport today. I was dropping Suman, her best friend and her big sister off as they are going on a girlie holiday to Gran Canaria. After helping take their luggage to the terminal, I took a few photos of the girls.
That's Suman in the middle, steaming ahead to check in. The girl on the left is her friend Mandeep and the other girl is Vicky, her sister. In post-processing I converted the image to black and white in Lightroom, and then in Photoshop I added a radial blur to achieve this effect.
I have the house to myself this week. I mentioned in yesterday's post that I have the week off too, so I plan on doing some shoots. I also plan on watching lots of films and spending some time with my brother, but other than that I just want to rest. Sometimes it's nice just doing very little with your time off.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Brilliant editing and worth going through the different steps to achieve such a good photo. Your lady is certainly eager to get on that plane ha! Have a lovely week :)
Like the work done here Vik... Good stuff... Whilst the cat's away eh!!!... If you get the chance, check out Peepli (Live), saw it on Sat night and quite good...
This is so cool. It totally suits the airport setting. I was born in Birmingham although Ive never been there...thats what i always say because I was 6 weeks old when we moved to Indonesia and I still havent made it north past Italy...England/Ireland/Scotland (where my last name is from)Wales France...heck anywhere further than Milan is on the bucket list still.
I love the radial blur effect in Photoshoop and it added to this photo nicely. Have a good vacation. I am anxious to see the "proper shoot" photos you speak of! :]
Great photo!
This works nicely
