Suman and I celebrated Valentine's Day today. I know it's a day early, but it's because I start my new job tomorrow so I want to concentrate on that. Suman got the usual; chocolates, flowers, a card and unexpected gifts, and then we went for some lunch at a Thai restaurant. I thought I didn't like Thai food, but I soon changed my mind!

We got back and I fell asleep on the sofa for a bit, and when I awoke I realised I had yet to take my photo. Despite the rain, I decided to pop out for a night shot.

This is the Home Ales Brewery building in Daybrook, Nottingham. At night the sign atop the building flashes "HOME OF THE BEST". In post-processing I increased the clarity and the contrast, converted it to monochrome and added a severe vignette.

So, it'll be my first day at my new job tomorrow. I'm excited, but a little nervous too. I'll be the new boy again!
