I finally took photos today - of me. At work there's space on the Intranet for a small photo to attach to your profile, and seeing as one of my duties is to manage the Intranet, I thought it remiss of me not to have mine uploaded. So, I took a few self-portraits this evening and naturally hated them all. Suman thinks this one is passable.
I should have kept my shirt and tie on really, but I only remembered to take some shots after dinner. I don't seem to look like what I think I do in the mirror; since when did I have such a big nose?! And why do I squint one eye all the time? I'll have to replace this shot soon.
I submitted another photo in to a website's competition. The Photo Argus website asked for good examples of sign photography, so I submitted a couple of shots and one of them was selected. By the way, I have been taking the odd photo here and there. I got hold of a 35mm compact camera a few weeks ago, and after finally getting round to buying film and a new battery I've been sporadically taking shots. I'm so selective with what to shoot though that I've only used about a third of the film so far!

I should get out more with my D-SLR, but I've found the extra time since quitting my 365 project quite liberating, and with work being so busy at the moment the extra time is very handy. Also, I've taken so many photos in Nottingham I struggle to find local inspiration. I must make more effort.

i don't see any squinting, either. and about that nose, i don't know what it looks like it real life, but perhaps it has something to do with shooting at 16mm? =P

@christiq Yeah perhaps a little (although really it was something like 26mm due to the crop factor), took some shots handheld because I couldn't be bothered to set up the tripod etc!
Cool shot... I think it should be compulsory on 365 for everyone EXCEPT me to do selfies like this.... So we see the real deal! I told someone last night "you go girl... Awesome shot!". And it was a guy.... Name was confusing though!
