[The following is from my blog:

I used to blog all the time.
Those of you who used to follow my 365 project will know this, and of my interest in photography and desire for daily improvement. For those of you who don't know about my previous blog, its aim was to capture a decent photo every day throughout one year, but I ultimately failed with less than 50 photos to go. I was knocked out with a virus which meant I missed a few days' photos, and a new job left me little time to continue. But I still occasionally upload photos on my Flickr site; usually though, it's photos from paid work.
So why am I here again? Well, a lot's happened since this time last year. I got promoted at work, I got married, and, well... let's just say that we're expecting a honeymoon baby! It's been a whirlwind and I have, as the title suggests, 10 weeks to go until my little girl is due (on 3 June).
So what's the purpose of this blog? My aim is to take a photo as often as possible (I'm not committing to one a day right now!) and document the weeks ahead, as my little munchkin is in the final quarter of her gestation period. And then, the time around the birth and our baby's first days, weeks and months will also be highlighted here as this life-changing experience unfolds. I'll also take photos of other stuff too; not just baby shenanigans!
For the gear-heads: I am still using a Canon 7D. I aim to replace my 15-85mm lens with Canon's fabled 24-105mm 'L' lens soon. I'm also in ownership of a Fuji X100, which frustrates and delights in equal measure, but is oh-so gorgeous to look at! And finally, I'll probably use my Samsung Galaxy Note too when neither camera is to hand.
And now my first photo.
What else did you expect?!
Fuji X100, f/2, 1/60, ISO-1600
And yeah........ I'm still around, a few familiar faces are still doing this thing...
Anyway all to say welcome back, and I look forward to following you & seeing you little bundle in due course :)
