I had parked in a 30 min bay as I was only going to the pharmacy to collect a prescription. I was a little longer as I helped a disabled lady exit the pharmacy. I had time so popped into a shop to buy bananas.
A chap entered and asked the assistant to look after his dog but she refused as she could not leave the shop and dogs were not allowed in.
I came to the rescue and offered to look after the dog. The chap was grateful and worried that his dog might be stolen if left unattended.
So I exited with the stranger and introduced to Monty. The chap now known as Luke returned minutes later with 4 cans of cider. I commented how quick he was and joked to whether he had stolen the cider. He laughed and said yes!!
Luke & Monty were reunited and off to catch their bus and I returned to my car with minutes to spare. How strange life can sometimes be.
I love those dogs that are tied outside a shop and they stare so intently in the shop that they don't have eyes and ears for anything else in the world.
Great story, fantastic POV shot. Let me know if anything shows up on Crimewatch. And we could have a whip-round if you need bail money for aiding and abetting... ;-)
How lovely that you came to the rescue even if it was for a cider thief. I always feel sorry for dogs left outside shops they always look sad. So glad you kept him company.
You will get feathers in your wings for the good deed you did. Well that's what my Mum used to say. That is why I am called Onewing. I do good deeds and gain feathers and then lose them again if I say or do something unkind. ha ha. At least with one wing I can fly around in circles when I get to heaven.
