For my get pushed I was challenged to take a photo depicting a holiday in October that is celebrated this week: there was an extensive list but I chose World Cotton Day
I picked the Cotton boll during my very recent visit to Alabama and was so excited to do so.
The other cottons in this shot are all manufactured using cotton including the cotton sheet that they are on.
@philn the boll most certainly is. Us brits were so excited to see cotton growing in the fields. So easily pleased especially when we were able to pick some. So many things in life that we take for granted. @grammyn thinking back to our visit to the cotton fields makes me smile. @30pics4jackiesdiamond thank you. Precious memories @ludwigsdiana thank you Diana @marlboromaam thank you Mags @beverley365 thank you. A bit of a faff getting the lighting right @onewing@leggzy@kjarn thank you @randystreat we really enjoyed seeing the cotton growing in the fields.
The first time I ever saw it growing I made my husband (who was driving at the time) stop the car so I could look at it. Another time, we stopped and picked a branch to bring home. I wonder what happened to it?
@grammyn thinking back to our visit to the cotton fields makes me smile.
