Wash away your sins

This is in the village where we are staying. The church is now disused. A local told us that it has been sold privately to someone who may use this as a wedding venue. Believe it or not but the setting is spectacular.
Neat find and capture! I've seen a few converted chapels on Escape to the Country. Some are truly amazing conversions to homes.

My grandmother would have said this was an unhappy line of washing, and would have neatened everything up. In her view an untidy washing line was pretty sinful! LOL

Lovely white laundry. Hope it stayed dry... I do believe that the setting is spectacular.

I like this pic so much. It is so unexpected!

Cute little church. I can see how this can be a great wedding venue. Minus the laundry lol.

A very incongruouscomposition but fascinating somehow!

Well spotted. I like the church building. It would make an interesting home if one had the means and resources.

@marlboromaam yes there are many conversations in the U.K.

@ankers70 yes I agree it definitely needed to be tidied up and pegs must match!!

@ingrid01 yes it was good drying weather but rain again today.

@corinnec I spotted it earlier but did not have my camera so hoped that it would still be there on my return.

@grammyn it certainly got my attention.

@randystreat I believe a multimillionaire has purchased it.

@ljmanning thank you. I couldn’t resist.

@ludwigsdiana the church is lovely but doors and windows boarded up.

@foxes37 I agree.

@bybri thank you. It was very close to where we are staying.

I love the title! It is a beautiful church. It looks like it may need some TLC before a wedding.

I love this shot and the title is fabulous Fav

Brilliantly done and love the title!

Looks like an interesting church. I always think of clotheslines as the embodiment of frustration at being held back, when all the sheets & shirts want to fly freely.

There's nothing obssessive about me, but I agree!

Love the contrast between the old church and the washing on the line.

A lot of old chapels are in disuse now. I wonder if this by any chance made it into the book on Welsh chapels that I had. A wedding venue might be a good use for it, though I don’t know
