At Huntley Meadows today with my friends Jeannine and Matt. This is their son Thomas with Lily and Jack after they found an orange spider. They are also doing the hiking challenge and we wanted to do at least one hike together — delightfully this turned out to be no. 49 for both of us. Three to go!
Postscript 12/21: I’ve been keeping a journal of all my hikes and realized today that I forgot to write two of them down, so this was actually hike no. 51 for me. I admit feeling a little sad that I only have one hike left . . .
