the tree crash has become somewhat of a tradition

ha ha! Which is one of the reasons we don't have a real tree anymore.

@margonaut So smart! I suggested a fake tree this year and nearly had a mutiny. None of us know how to do the lights either so it’s always a tangle as well as falling over. Well, not all traditions can be beautiful I guess.

@wiesnerbeth I was a diehard real tree fan forever. But it's so much easier to just get it out of the attic. One year Susan's choir sold them as a fundraiser so we got a real one and sure enough, it fell over. Here's the picture, complete with kid ornaments. https://365project.org/margonaut/365/2010-12-13

@margonaut Love the photo and the kid ornaments! I have a similar photo from the first year I put Nick and Jack in charge of putting up the tree. They went back to collyand the next morning it was on the floor. Lily referred to it as “the year Nick ruined Christmas.” She, of course, saved the day by helping me put it back up.
