well, it took an hour, but it was a darn good sandwich

I don’t know what I’m going to do when I have to go back to work. I’ve cooked more during the quarantine than I have in the last five years.
What kind of sandwich? And is that a real book? Love the title.

@margonaut This is one of my son’s cookbooks. I love a cookbook that tells stories about the food — this is a good one for that. The sandwich was fried zucchini with onion purée, melted fontina, and barbecue potato chips. It was supposed to have pickled jalapeños, which we didn’t have so I substituted kosher dills. The dills and the potato chips really elevated the sandwich. It was so good!
